It was an exciting morning discussing the cooperation YEP and PUM programs in Myanmar. Both programs are (partly) financed by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In working together the aim is to create better matches between organizations and voluntary PUM experts.
PUM offers senior experts (with experience of 30 years and up) to share knowledge and expertise in developing countries. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in developing countries can not always afford an external consultant. Moreover, it can be tough to find the program is directed at SME’s (11-250 employees) for entrepreneurs eager to make the next step.
PUM’s mission is to share knowledge for vibrant businesses and better lives. The organization was founded in 1978 and is active in over 30 countries and has a thematic approach around Food Security, Health and environment, Industry & Trade and Services.
It’s exciting that Myanmar is the starting point of this coloration and hoping other focus countries will follow soon!
